Job Title: Part time Village Caretaker
Job Description:
Marden Parish Council is looking to employ a part-time village caretaker for 15 hours per week.
The role of Village Caretaker involves mowing, strimming and site maintenance of Parish owned land and other areas as directed; general maintenance jobs including painting, repairs and grounds maintenance; regular inspections and general maintenance of play equipment, public conveniences and changing rooms, litter picking, winter maintenance including snow clearing an distribution of salt; assist with quarterly newsletter delivery, Christmas village celebrations and working alongside the Cemetery caretaker when required. Relevant equipment, including a vehicle, will be provided and training will be given where necessary.
The successful applicant should be fit and healthy as some aspects of role involve manual handing and ideally live, or have knowledge of the parish and have some skills in carpentry, grounds maintenance and machinery.
