As you may have heard, there is a to be a meeting in the John Banks Hall on 10th July at 7 pm to find out how many people/businesses/organisations etc would be interested in taking part in becoming a ‘Dementia Friendly Community’.
The attached letter is being sent out as far and wide as possible in the community to ‘get the ball rolling’, talk about what it entails and answer any questions. Please read the letter and pass on to as many interested parties as you can think of.
We do not just want to hear from those people who can learn about how to make a difference. We will be especially interested to hear from people who are living with memory loss, who are willing to share their experiences and give us their viewpoint on how we can help to make their daily lives in the community more accessible.
The meeting will be informal and friendly, no pressure for public speaking. We need and value your opinion.
