WE NEED THREE MATURE MALE ACTORS!
We are looking for three men to play roles in our next production of Waiting for God. Remember the TV series? The script is hilarious and you will have a fantastic time rehearsing and performing with this marvellous group.
We have already auditioned the ladies.
Rehearsals will be Thursday evenings and/or Sunday afternoons. Performance dates Thursday 28th May, Friday 29th May and Saturday 30th May (plus matinee performance).
Characters are:
Tom Ballard, (age 40-70) acting age 70+. He is “not as nutty as he makes himself seem” gentle retired gent (can be made up to look older). Quintessentialy English and was an accountant but acts more like a Dr Livingston explorer. (Lead role main character).
Harvey, age 30-40. Smooth, slick and thoroughly money focused, slimy entrepreneur who runs the retirement home. Would sell his nan if it made a few bob! (Main part in about 50% of scenes).
Geoffrey, 30-50, Tom Ballard’s son, who at the instruction of his tarty wife has stuffed his dad into a retirement home in the New Forest to save himself a few bob (smaller part).
We would like to hear from anyone who can help fill these roles or please pass this on to anyone who you think would be interested. The script is so funny and you get to say the F word now and then!
